Brian’s passion for physical therapy began in the 7th grade, when he successfully rehabilitated his own athletic injury. Intending to pursue a career in athletic training, he found himself increasingly drawn toward the broader field of physical therapy, and witnessing the impact that successfully applied treatment had on the lives of patients.

After graduating from Oakland University with honors, Brian gained his experience in private practice, home care and hospital outpatient settings – where he was instrumental in the founding of an outpatient physical therapy clinic for a major regional medical center.

Though steadily advancing in his career, Brian continued to find himself frustrated with what is considered to be the norm for a profitable practice in physical therapy – high patient volumes with limited therapist interaction, a one-size-fits-all mentality, and an approach to treatment that favors machines and exercises rather than hands-on treatment.

Brian knew he could do better.

Calling upon his background in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) – an approach to treatment originated in Europe but less-commonly practiced in the United States, Brian set out to change physical therapy in Michigan for the better. Founded on the philosophy of fewer patients, full 45-minute therapy sessions, and hands-on treatment from an experienced therapist, Physical Therapy & More brought an innovative approach to physical therapy that puts the needs of the patient first.

Today, Physical Therapy & More has built an enviable reputation for achieving success where other treatments have failed. It’s a reputation that continues to grow through the success stories of thousands of satisfied patients – many of whom had been told that successful rehabilitation would never be an option.

Clearly, the difference IS in the touch.

A nationally-recognized speaker and instructor, Brian Nalazek is also a Certified Weight Trainer in Michigan, and Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. His professional affiliations include the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association.
